Central Station
(Approx 2 minutes walk)
Leave the station via the escalators at the opposite end of the station from the main WH Smith branch. When you reach the bottom of the escalator, go to your left and then to your right, away from the next downward escalator and toward the road.
Turn left as you leave the station, under the railway bridge onto Argyle Street. You will see a MacDonalds at the corner of the street on the right hand side of the road. Go round this corner and you are now on Jamaica Street. The Crystal Palace is the glass fronted building approximately 50 yards along on the right hand side with the burgundy and gold signs.
St Enoch Underground Station
(Approx 2 minutes walk)
When you come through the turnstyles, leave the station by going past the Transcard Centre. When you reach the top of the steps, over the square you should see a branch of Somerfields. Cross the square and turn right, away from the St Enoch Centre and walking past the DJ Sound and Light store.
Keep walking to the end of this road, - there should be a branch of Richer Sounds to your left. Look up to your right and you will see the Crystal Palace - it is the glass fronted building on the other side of the road with the burgundy and gold signs.
Queen Street Station
(Approx 10 minutes walk)
If you leave Queen Street station by the doors marked “George Square” beside Burger King, turn right once outside and walk along until you have passed RS McColl and Waxy O’Connors on your right. This will be roughly 100 to 150 yards.
If you leave by the Dundas Lane exit (towards the taxi rank, beside the main ticket office,) walk to the bottom of the hill and turn right at RS McColl and keep walking past Waxy O’Connors. This will be roughly 50 yards.
If you leave by the final exit, which appears to be a side entrance, walk down the hill until you are on George Square. (You can only leave by this exit from the Low Level trains.) Turn right and walk along the road, beside the front of the hotel. Keep walking until you have passed RS McColl and Waxy O’Connors on your right hand side. This will be roughly 200 yards.
There should be a pedestrian crossing, with a large, glass fronted Clydesdale Bank on the opposite side of the road. Cross the road here and continue down Buchanan Street.
You should pass Glasgow’s best example of a Police Box if you take this route, outside Borders Bookshop.
When you reach the end of Buchanan Street, St Enoch Underground is on the other side of the road and House of Fraser should be to your right. Turn right here and walk along Argyle Street for around 50 yards. There should be a MacDonalds diagonally opposite where you are standing, with a KFC beside you, a Pizza Hut to your left and an Noddle Bar in front.
Cross the road here towards the MacDonalds. Follow the road down to the left and the Crystal Palace is the glass fronted building approximately 50 yards along on the right hand side with the burgundy and gold signs.
